IBD pack setup

The inflammatory bowel disease model comprises a fluidic controlling unit (pressure controller, flow sensors, and valves) before the chip that allows high-precision liquid handling. Thus, your cells receive a continuous supply of media and nutrients. At the same time, the addition of immune-relevant cytokine triggers for IBD can be done at the most convenient time through an easily controlled set of valves.

Then, the cytokine release profile over time can be assessed due to a fraction collector connected to the chip outlet. Samples can be automatically collected according to your requirements of time and volume.

The IBD pack typically contains:

Flow sensor (Galileo, MIC)

Software (Galileo user interface)

Automated sampler

Flow controller

3/2 Valves and controller

Microfluidic chip

Falcon reservoirs, connectors, tubing, filters…

Frequently asked questions

Is the setup sterilizable?

Yes, we have developed a simple protocol for sterilization and cleaning that is provided along with the user guide.

The chip with the cells can be kept inside the incubator and the flow sensors as well, after treatment upon demand. The electronics, such as the pressure controller and the collection valves, should be kept outside the CO2 incubator.

Yes! Our experts will establish which instruments are best suited for your application, such as the type of flow sensor or the number of flow controller channels you need to perform your experiment. Contact us using the “talk to our experts” green button above.

Our instruments are in beta testing phase and can be tested as a pack or individually, so get in contact with our team to know how our beta testing program works.

Funding and Support

The results of the LOCAi, NeuroTrans, and Enhpathy project helped develop this pack.
The LOCAi project has received funding from the French National Research Agency (ANR) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the frame of the 1st German-French Joint Call for proposals on Artificial Intelligence.
The European Union’s Horizon 2020 MSCA-ITN has funded the Enhpathy and NeuroTrans projects under grant agreements No. 860002 (ENHPATHY project) and 860954 (NeuroTrans project).
