Microfluidics research projects
in biotech & organ-on-chip

Curious about the innovative projects we’re driving with microfluidics?

We apply our microfluidics expertise to cutting-edge collaborations in lab-on-a-chip, biotech, and medical research – turning ideas into impactful innovations.

Since 2011, the Microfluidics Innovation Center has been involved in over 60 collaborative research projects spanning biotech, medical diagnostics, and fundamental science. Our work covers organ-on-chip platforms, droplet microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip devices, nanofluidics, and flow chemistry, among other fields. Most of these projects are funded through European programs such as Horizon Europe, Horizon 2020, and ERC grants, carried out alongside academic and industrial partners across the continent. Below, you will find both our ongoing and completed projects, organized by status. The following pages detail the scientific goals, our specific contribution, and results from the project.
