NEXTSCREEN workshop

July 16-19, 2024 – Barcelona

Our application specialist, Lisa Muiznieks, was in Barcelona with the partners of the NEXTSCREEN-MSCA  project for the Workshop in microscopy and fluidics.

She performed a hands-on demonstration of a simple microfluidics setup so everyone could grasp the concepts behind the technology.

The project aims to adopt imaging flow cytometry for identifying and characterizing tumor biomarkers in blood-derived samples, with the long-term goal to devise in-vitro diagnostics devices for liquid biopsies that can be used by non-technical users in clinical settings.

This is the first workshop designed to train the 11 PhD candidates in the topics they will develop in their thesis.

Special thank you to Andrea Bassi for organizing the workshop and coordinating the project.
