After our productive meeting in Freiburg, we headed straight to Pisa for one of the final consortium meetings of our H2020 project, ALTERNATIVE. We were warmly welcomed by our host, Federico Vozzi from CNR-PISA, and had some engaging, lively discussions as the project drew to a close. With the finish line in sight, all partners needed to align tasks and ensure we were set up for the best possible outcomes.

The ALTERNATIVE project is focused on developing an advanced in vitro platform to test the effects of air pollutants on cardiac tissue and is coordinated by Gianluca Ciardelli at Politecnico di Torino.
