Desired start date:

March 2025

Establish and maintain scientific partnerships in the scope of collaborative research projects.

You will join the grant managing team at the MIC, responsible for applying for and managing European projects, with the aim of establishing new partnerships that would lead to new collaborations in the scope of Horizon Europe.

The position includes regular contact with potential project partners, scientific discussions and the development of novel ideas and applications of microfluidics in research & innovation.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in the complete lifecycle of collaborative projects in a private innovation center: from establishing the first contact, discussing the application, writing and submitting the proposal and managing funded projects during the implementation phase, in close contact with the Research & Innovation Team. The role also includes the writing and publishing of funding news and updates on the MIC website.

Whether you have experience or not is not the most important thing for us. What counts with us is your mindset, your curiosity, your positive energy and your ability to learn!

Your missions:

  • Identify and contact potential research partners.
  • Inform yourself on new applications of microfluidics in research & innovation.
  • Proposal writing and correction (Horizon Europe, national funding) in collaboration with the consortium.
  • Operating the EC Funding and Tenders portal during submission and project implementation.
  • Implementation of European projects (regular consortium meetings, technical reporting, communication with consortium).
  • Create online content to inform the research community about funding opportunities (reviews, articles, news on Horizon Europe)

Required profile:

  • You have a PhD degree in Life Sciences (biology, biomedicine, technical fields,  mechanical engineering – knowledge in microfluidics is a plus)
  • You are rigorous and autonomous
  • You are detail-oriented
  • You enjoy discussing and communicating about scientific problems and possible solutions.
  • You are proficient in English –  all external communication (written and spoken) will be in English
  • You have an appetite for high-impact, market-oriented research.
  • Experience with European grant management is a plus.
  • At the MIC, we like: people who take action, who are creative, independent, curious and team players. People who do more than they talk, people who are demanding of themselves but who take care of those around them. Those who question themselves, those who want an intense and contrasting life. Those who bring pastries.

Recruitment process:

  • Mindset questionnaire to join the tribe

  • Technical test + debriefing (online)
  • On-site visit
  • Welcome!
